... respect. He is a human being.

People all over the world are in different situations. Some are struggling. Some are in war torn countries. Some are living la vida loca. But they are all human beings. They have stories. They deserve respect. This is why I travel. To meet people and hear their stories. Sometimes you meet people close to home that have an impact.

TLDR: The next time you find yourself saying "Someone needs to do something!", be that someone!

Hailed a taxi back to the hotel $9. The hotel has a bar and courtyard on the first floor. We bought 2 big glasses of Coke Zero for $12 and headed up to bed. Despite the fact that the bar was really jumpin we could not hear anything from our room on the 9th floor. Did a bit of blog, downloaded the pics and into bed about 11.30 feeling pretty good considering we had been up for 20 hours.

... of years ago to visit his friend Ella and highly recommended it. I can see why! The café was really an underground bar which had a live band who played covers throughout the evening from all genres of music; Motown, Reggae, R&B, Classic, Alternative and Modern rock. Half the fun was being the first to guess the song and artist. There was a real party atmosphere in the place and halfway through the night ...

Statue of Liberty and Ellis island!

... main things. We went to the theatre part to watch a film and one of the park rangers told us all the background info of Ellis island. We then watched a half hour film about the migration. I found it pretty interesting, Alle and Chelsea obviously didn't as they both fell asleep while the park ranger was still talking! Haha to be fair it was pretty hot in the room. After that we headed back to the mainland for our first slice of New York pizza. I'm sure it won't be the ...
