After arriving in style at the airport (via 'POD' no less!) and seeing Greenland on the way (sorry, obligatory plane photo!) we arrived in New York.

It is an epic place and with so much to do, tours to take, places to visit, we decided to do our own tour. As we are geeky by nature we decided to base our travels on two things. Food and video game locations.

What surprised us is how easy it is to walk ...

We walked through Times Square on our way to find a restaurant. This is an experience that I can ...

... only accessible to the very exclusive residents so we had to settle for photos through the secure iron gate and fences. The pizza tour was fantastic, the first stop was the legendary Grimaldi's Pizza at dumbo (Down under the Brooklyn Bridge Overpass) a Neapolitan style pizza - absolutely fabulous, then off to see some other sites of Brooklyn including famous movie locations and landmarks - not to mention Coney Island - ...

... in the WWII American soldier's footsteps, and experiencing the world has finally arrived. Words cannot describe the emotions of finally achieving this goal. Over the next 8 weeks, the goal for this blog will be: to describe my travels, to remember the delicious food, and to bring you (and future me!) to where I am on this journey. Life is the story of an adventure and this is the next ...
