... pass for the Dubai Metro (16AED), and since it was still way too early to hit up any of the malls, I took the metro all the way to the end of the line. There were a couple things I noticed about the metro that I had not seen before. First, there were cars dedicated to women and children. Second, if you got off at a station and immediately wanted to go back the other direction, security guards made sure you exited the turnstile and re-entered.

... t think, that I'm going to be travelling. I did have one moment as the plane lined up in preparation for take off where it started to hit me, but I don't think it will properly hit me will until a few weeks in...we shall see!! For now, I am watching Sleeping Beauty whilst eating sweets (there was no vegetarian option for the meal, which I found odd, however it's probably something I should get used to when in South East Asia!!) The size was astounding they had a whole wall as a massive water feature, so many elevators and escalators and I even had to catch a train to the other side of the airport where the baggage etc. I almost had a heart attack when I went into the bathroom and saw a long drop! They also have an entire terminal to themselves which is just crazy - hearing announcements for flights to London, Chiang mai, Sydney makes me want to travel the world even more. Hopefully for Ryan's sake after this trip I'll be all travelled out and stick to places where 2-3 weeks is an appropriate length of time to visit!
