We boarded the bus at 9:00 am for the one hour beautiful drive to Domaine Saint Hilaire Winery. Our tour guide, Wendy, taught wine tasting and wine pairing in England and was amazing. She was so enthusiastic about sharing her knowledge with us. After learning more than we could ever remember about the process of making wine, we headed back down to the house for a wine tasting, conducted by Wendy and Daniel (the owner's son). Having packed most of the big stuff the night before we only had an hour or so before we left forthe hellish windy mountain road to the motorway. 2 hrs of driving at 30 mph around hairpins is really wearing...... Back to the Issoire municipal for a night of not good sleep assisted by noisy french people, very unusual.
