    Family!!!! Cousin reunion #2.

We persuaded Kate to join us on the trip up north to see Charmian and her 2 girls-Gwen and Freya-and Phillip. So it was that half of the Potters and half of the Manserghs all got to enjoy the boisterous commentary of the girls while we caught up over a traditional English roast dinner (yorkshire ...

... Leisure Park. We were expecting a nice relaxing time after the time we had at the Haven site in Porthmadog. How wrong can you be! We did find one, though it was about 1/2 hour walk away and when we got there it was shutting for the day-bother. Back to washing 3 days worth of clothes in the bathroom sink! Never mind. We found a great little restaurant for a quick dinner. On the way home we saw Edinburgh Castle all lit up, it looked beautiful. Love and smiles, ...

Today we drove the 2.5 hours from York to Windermere, through some of the most beautiful countryside ever. Green, rolling hills, large fields, farm houses, old, old stone walls, white sheep with black faces and rather large cows. We stopped for lunch in a very quaint town called Kendal, where we all had a hot pie, pastie or sandwich. We then had a little walk around the ...
