... villa , La Colletta.
It was originally built by a German Baroness and then was left to its own devices for many years until Claudia and Jim saw it and restored it to its former glory in 1999. They had to get everything around to the villa by boat. All the builders had a winch everything to get all the building materials up to the decaying villa. The dry stone walls were reinforced and the garden planted. We can't get over how much it has grown in the 12 ...

They're back...........
lo and behold we could not escape them. They are back & ensconced in the villa. They turned up in their little yellow & red car yesterday. They found a toad on the way (see picture attached) & decided that they would stay for the duration.

It has been lovely enjoying the pool & going into the piazza for a coffee after getting a mountain load of salad veggies for J ...

... amp; C's beautiful home , 17th century house, in Steeple Aston. You kept looking around to see if Inspector Barnaby or Lewis were lurking in the hedgerows. Absolutely beautiful countryside. We managed to stay awake all day and then had a fabulous supper accompanied by some good reds, of course. After the gym went in the indoor heated salt water pool and did laps with two Japanese men who studied and badly copied Jolene’s breast stroke. Spent the afternoon exploring the boat that will be our home for the next three weeks. Heaps of Euros and only 200 Aussies on whole boat.

... in is to literally walk in through the front door, but the moving castle will run away VERY quickly or fly away. Another reason most people don't visit Drew so often is that he is very grumpy, and will attempt to kill you if you make him very angry. If you "kill" him with Eikcud's sword, he will just revive in about 1 hour and then kill you if you don't have the knowledge to take a potion-maker or spell and run away.
