Today we popped up early and headed into town for a chock-a-block day full of Prague goodness! My little Contiki troop and I headed first into the old square and walked until we found a little market where we did some shopping for souveniers and yummy fruit baskets. ... Nicholas Church up north towards the Jewish district and the Old Town Hall and Astronomical Clock down south. The clock is the oldest one of its kind still working and was built in the 1400s. There were hundreds of people gathered round near the hour to watch it's presentation. After visiting the area I spent some time walking down various avenues and photographed whatever caught my fancy: sculpture, graffiti, striking window or shopfront. I then decided to return to my apartment for a rest before going out later...my body was chilled (it was a very icy day) and having hot chocolates and cookies and testing the wifi inside was a well-deserved treat!

Somehow this weekend trip that Abby planned for us has turned into at least 10 people going now!!! We're planning on staying with her friend from middle school who goes to the University of Munich and everyone else is looking into hostels.
