... they didn't record on the iPad. After Ullswater we climbed a bit and in answer to a question of a day ago, we discovered where all the slate came from for the many many houses and other buildings and all the walls came from. These hills have loose slate everywhere and there was also a quarry you can see off in the distance. The whole area was beautiful. We stopped on the road, or slightly off it as we needed a loo stop and as we weren't ...

We got petrol at Penrith (£1.189 per litre - £39.06). We arrived at our accommodation just after 8.30pm. A great day. Tomorrow the Yorkshire ...

Gemma and Chown headed off to a wedding leaving Knaps and I to venture into what can only be described as hell on earth, Blackpool. Imagine a town of Chavs but with all the other Chavs in the country coming in as well, for hens and bucks parties and just to get hammered. We drank for 15 hours it was fun. Met up with Caitlin smith from Mercure Sydney days and then with Nicky and Ashleigh some of Knaps mates I'd met in Singapore. Was a right laugh of people watching and bad 80's ...
