... as hoping for a break in the clouds to see
the sunset from the point/beach/yacht club, back over the bridge on the river
bank south of town. There was a huge procession of cars heading that way too
and we were in for a treat – the cloud made it spectacular.

Back to the super for a beer and a stack of Stax for dinner –
at over 2 a pop I just have to stop!

Well that's what we were promised. What we got was a tiny room. About 6 sq m and the walls only went up about 7 feet. This was particularly appreciated when one of the employees decided to crash in the bunk "next door" and snore loudly all night. At one stage I got up and the door ...

... parrots chattered away noisily in their communal nests above our vehicle, and the little shop provided necessities. The beach was just a walk through the trees, and we slept very well in the quiet surroundings. After a night there we moved on down the coast, and camped for 2 nights at a little place called La Pedrera. What a beautiful little town at the sea. It is obviously a good surf spot as the surfers were all very busy. Andy had a lovely swim there. The ...

... it's lifeboats to ferry passengers to shore. We even found a store with Lindor (40 for a box) and HP sauce (10 a bottle). Needless to say I did not indulge the yearnings for a little bit of UK at those prices.

The funny thing about being on a cruise ship is when you get to solid ground it feels like you are still at sea, you feel more at sea than ...

... another. We negotiated with Patricia to stay in an 8 bed dorm dump of a room for an outrageously over-priced $40US per night. in the night, my friend went to sleep and another roommate and I stayed up to talk when we noticed thousand of small bugs crawling all over our bed sheets and the walls. We then looked down to the bottom bunks and noticed pea sized bugs crawling all over the beds below us. We started to kill ...
