Pompeii Day
... along the way. Then it was an hour on the train to Sorrento and then an hour on the bus. We had a racing car driver for a bus driver who only knew full accellorate or full break. It made for a roller coaster ride back that required hanging onto the seat in front with both hands!!! When we got off we all had a laugh and it was quite an experience! Day 1 - Fly into Naples and e arrive in Positano!

We got to the Poseidon hotel around 5pm and the lovely owners showed us our rooms. Beautifull tiled floors and a stunning view of the mountain cliffs. We has some wine, olives and nuts on the patio by the pool almost immediately.

1151. Searching for Roman Ruins (Italy 128)
... Nocera Superiore has a wide main boulevard, but a much emptier feel than its sister town. But it does have an interesting round church that looks very ancient—and yes, Nocera Superiore does trace its history back to Roman times… also have the remnants of an ancient acqueduct…
But, back to the present, I'm a bit concerned to find a semi abandoned train station ...
