      Thursday & Friday Oct 23&24 With Geoff, our host, as navigator we drove two and half hours to Bouzigues which is a fishing village on the south coast. Our restaurant was part of an oyster and seafood processing plant so what was offered was very fresh. To start we shared three dozen oysters natural before having fish and prawns.       ... questions the tour took an hour not 20 mins, felt very lucky as he loved the cave and gets to explore not only the ones we could access but the other 14 kms of caves we can't go to as its too dangerous but beautiful- a job is is proud to do as he sees himself as a gatekeeper! All in french too, when things are in context we can both get the drift of whats being said it seems.....

      ... to just wander around, but I also really wanted to check out Avignon which turned into a bit of a drama as we had no map and got horribly disorientated as we drove into the heavily walled city. Eventually found the main sites and a view of the bridge as the sun set.

      ... a dress shop just around the corner, and voila! The first one we saw in the shop that I tried on, I decided was the one! Of course with my indecisiveness there was a bit of umming and ahhing, but with Anna’s reassurance and help the deal was done. Thank you Anna for all your help. I think our persistence paid off, and I love the fact that I bought my wedding dress with you in Nimes! Now I just have to keep it hidden from Mikey for the next few months!

      Once a year La Muse collect their honey from the bees. Luckily for us, today was that day! Davids mum Collette his father Jacque and his brother and little nephew were in the barn twirling this contraption like mad getting the honey from the combs. It was boiling hot in there and very hard work! We tried some of the honey from the combs and it was like chewing gum...cool! Check out the photos and video below which will explain better than us!
