Wrapping up this entry in a private hotel room with open drapes while watching the rain hit the window pane puts things in perspective. -------------- Tomorrow I say goodbye to chilly, rainy Europe as I leave for Southeast Asia's heat. ... stroll down the street to grab some breakfast. I had a lovely English Breakfast - eggs, toast, bacon, sausage, and beans. Along with a nice big cup of coffee. After that I was ready to do some more exploring. I asked the guy at the counter if there was any other flea markets I could check out and he recommended the Noordermarkt. ... for dinner. Like the roman experience, the waiter came over and sat at our table to verbally review our options.He has a traveling monkey, and posed for a hippo shot. Gord and I shared a salmon tartar with tzatziki followed by steak for Gord and coconut chicken for me. So good! The salad was a bit sandy-crunchy, but the side of fries was perfection.
