... t get any wifi . . . the girl said we had to have a wire to wire our computers in. I told her I had an ipad and it can't be wired in, which was why I needed wifi. Dale's computer managed to start the wifi process but needed a password. When we went downstairs for dinner, we asked for the password and again, I asked about the free wifi and pointed it out on the hotel confirmation. The road it took me along was the A697 which was a wonderful winding country road. Even though it was cold much of the road surface was dry and great for riding on. However there was also some rather wet and muddy sections caused by farmers and their tractors and so I had to be extremely careful.

As I said above on leaving Edinburgh the air temp was about 7 Celsius but ...
