Had a wonderful afternoon exploring Castillo de Sant Barbara (hugecastle/fort at the top of hill in Alicante) and listening to some of the 3 Reyes (3 Kings/Wisemen) festivities from the top of the castle. Tonight the 3 Kings (Wisemen) arrive! There were huge celebrations here in Spain. We could hear a marching band and see signs of a parade and huge crowds from the top of the castle. Later we saw on TV lots of celebrations all over Spain with kings and beautifully dressed women ...
... a trip to Paris, as well as painting, at least I have been painting, and of course lots of normal housekeeping activities that seem to fill our days.
I've very much enjoyed my painting class on Thursday morning. There are six or seven individual on any given week that come to the English Speaking Club to enjoy the advice and tutelage of Peter, a lovely volunteer who steers us away from disasters toward a nice outcome. We have a lively time admiring each ...
... lunch. Got a few dances after dinner and then up for the syndicate quiz. The question master was not one of the usual people and her questions were rubbish. Suffice to say the winning score was 11/20 and it was not us. The normal winner score has been 16+. Now looking forward to getting ashore in Tangiers. Hi...some of you have asked about my blog...yes, it's been MIA (missing in action) lately, probably because we've been living a pretty normal routine. Nothing much to mention as daily life seems to be a bit boring for anyone who's not in the middle of it.
