... lobby. I'm a classy lady, so I won't discuss money on my blog but I will subtly allude to the expense of this service: Prezzo era cazzo costoso. But I'm honestly so so so glad we had it. It would have been a nightmare to try and get from the train to the hotel.

The hotel is very charming and positively regal. Which makes me feel right at home (obviously, see I am classy).

Last day tomorrow. Hard to believe it is here already! Tomorrow’s day is revealed and we are going to take a cooking class from one of Rome’s Cooking Channel stars including shopping in the market etc. Very excited about this but another early start… which I could have done without! Best part? Internet Again! Let the uploading begin!

... two here and the sun again was lighting up the intricate waterways of the city - perfect gondola weather. We decided to stick to backstreets if we could today and it's amazing the difference being one street back makes. The architecture of the city means the sound of the main streets and public piazzas is blocked from reaching these residential streets so it was the perfect opportunity for us to enjoy the romance of Venetian springtime. ... and there were literally thousands of people queuing for everything. We went for lunch and John ordered two foccacias and they served us two Tiramisus. A language problem obviously. Then we went for a trip on the gondolas. Back to the hotel and then we went for a walk to the beach. Brown sand nothing like our beautiful beaches. Tonight we went to a lovely little island for dinner. A typical little Italian town ...
