After the previous nights 24 hours travelling we hit the hay early and plan to wake the next day to beat the midday sun.... We woke at lunch time but hey it's ok ha. Strolling the streets our only goal for the day is to find two Italian soccer guernseys for a cheap price so we can back them in the World Cup! First shop 29euro each, second stop 80 euro each and finally at the last stop we get them 2 for 25 euro! Laughing!!! More shopping, ...

Caterina is very knowledgable and speaks great English. Catarina then takes us on a walking tour near the Piazza. It doesn't take long before we are almost alone. Most ...

We enjoyed our vaporetta trip to where we are staying at the Pension Accademia. As we were arriving at the Accademia station we glimpsed the Pension own a canal. Once we got here it was like arriving into an oasis. We walked through a beautiful area with tables and gardens into ...

... Florence. Gosh it seems a long time since we were here! The train is full but we have reserved seats so there are no problems. It's a nice run through the countryside. The train stops only at Bologna, Padua and Mestre. Your first sight of Venice is that of cruise ships! The station backs onto the Grand Canal and the only way to get to your hotel is by water. Do we take the cheap Vaporetto or ...
