The Islas Ballestas
Woke up to a cold shower. It worked. On the road in a minibus back to Paracas for the highlight of our tour here and the only thing Paracas can offer to tourists, even if you have no interest in taking photographs of wildlife. Paracas is quite frankly minging, and that is being kind to this place. Manual arranged the tickets for us, 40 n/s each …
Mummies!
... much. Apparently we are gong for a wine and Pisco tasting before hand so that should be good, though us lot drunk and on sand buggies should be interesting. There's no gentle easing into it as he charges off across ...

It was a huge plate that looked like a cross between a Chinese takeaway and fish & chips! I think I most of the fish & about 3 spoonfuls ...

Flying to Lima from Quito, I noticed Lima looked a LOT like the middle east...brown, desert, dusty, from the air. But the downtown colonial area is beautiful, with the presidential palace, the Monastery of San Francisco and the Lima Cathedral. At ...

A clean, and warm welcome from this small family run hotel greeted us. It is really the only one to book for the distant stretch between Paracas and Pisco.
