Even though I have not been feeling very well, I can really appreciate the wonderful room we have at the La Casona de la Ronda Bed & Breakfast. We are in room 4 with a fabulous view from our window of the La Virgen del Panecillo. This is a large aluminum statue of a "winged" virgin Mary and it is illuminated at night. It is a beautiful sight, …
Once again we are up before the crack of dawn, 4:30am, getting ready for our 5:25am pickup time to go to the airport. Who keeps booking these crazy early morning flights? Oh wait...that's me. Clearly I should not be in charge of the arrangements!
Breakfast doesn't open until 5:00am so we wait outside the breakfast area tapping our toes …
Made it to the hotel without much drama, a good flight from Baltra in the Galapagos with LAN, out quickly and retrieved our luggage. Said farewell to the other Aussies and the Danes, found our driver and away we went.
Watched the end of the Masters, very exciting and very unexpected.

We managed to have about 3 hrs sleep before our wake-up call at 5.15! Got to do these things to have an adventure! We are at the airport waiting for our flight to Galapagos ! Have met one couple who are on the same yacht as us - from Sydney- they've just ...

TravelPod Member ReviewsLa Casona de la Ronda Boutique Hotel Quito
This is a small but fantastic boutique hotel. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Quito again, we will definitely stay at this hotel. A lovely property with a wonderful atmosphere. Maria and all of the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. I cannot say enough good things about our room, the food or the service. Absolutely first class!
