Even though I have not been feeling very well, I can really appreciate the wonderful room we have at the La Casona de la Ronda Bed & Breakfast. We are in room 4 with a fabulous view from our window of the La Virgen del Panecillo. This is a large aluminum statue of a "winged" virgin Mary and it is illuminated at night. It is a beautiful sight, …
Once again we are up before the crack of dawn, 4:30am, getting ready for our 5:25am pickup time to go to the airport. Who keeps booking these crazy early morning flights? Oh wait...that's me. Clearly I should not be in charge of the arrangements!

This is a small but fantastic boutique hotel. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Quito again, we will definitely stay at this hotel. A lovely property with a wonderful atmosphere. Maria and all of the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. I cannot say enough good things about our room, the food or the service. Absolutely first class!
