... symmetrical and there are Ecuadorian plants and faces hidden in the walls. You have to look closely at the detail to find them. We took a stroll to the Presidential Palace (it overlooks Plaza Grande) and then walled to St. Francis Plaza. We hopped in the car and then headed to the middle of the earth where we stood in both hemispheres at the same time. The best part of the stop ...
... amp; quite deep, which is why I didn't get good shots of those, but they were probably about 1m around as close as I could tell... An enjoyable day :D ps would have had more & hopefully better pics, but my camera got condensation in the lens & most the oboe water shots anyway were ...
... done. We jumped into a mini bus and headed into the first Columbian town, 2km from the border We got into town and decided to keep on moving as we wanted to get to the beach ASAP and it was still numerous days away. So we searched for a bus to a town called Cali which was 12 hours on a night bus and on the road to the coast. It was a couple of hours away so we hung out in the station, went to the Internet cafe to book a hostel and ate some dinner. We ...
Well, woke up this morning with an "altitude headache". We're at about 9200 ft. above sea level. But the sun is shining, and the city is a flurry of activity. This is a small but fantastic boutique hotel. If we ever have the opportunity to visit Quito again, we will definitely stay at this hotel. A lovely property with a wonderful atmosphere. Maria and all of the staff could not have been nicer or more helpful. I cannot say enough good things about our room, the food or the service. Absolutely first class!
