Had a wonderful night's sleep as the hotel was very comfortable. We met Melinda and Michael for breakfast and then went our own ways. Bruno and I decided to go on a bus tour around the city as we had been here before, and thought this way we would see something different. The first bus took us around the champs élysées and then we changed buses to go to Montmartre because we hadn't been there last time.
When we arrived there, the amount of people was chaotic! Very touristy area but ...

Today was a travel day. We left Bastogne, Belgium at 8:30 this morning to drive to Fussen, Germany. We decided to stop at the Luxembourg American Cemetery to visit Patton's grave. We had the whole cemetery to ourself for just about our whole visit. It was very beautiful, and peaceful till the buses started to roll in. Time to leave. The rest of the day was pretty boring, and ...

There was an old man sitting in a wheelchair a couple of tables away, and I could clearly see a Purple Heart hanging from his chest. Sad you have to come to Europe to be proud to be American. It was ...

Trying to decide if dying is a better plan than taking a tour this morning. Only slept half the night, because I was coughing, and just generally wanting someone to put me out of my misery. Left the hotel at 8:30 to get to our tour by 9:00. Once there we met our tour guide, and a man from Germany that would be on our tour. He was pretty funny even if his side did lose the war. We also had to ...

Today we're head for our 15th country. Sorry to leave Bayeux. We really enjoyed being there. Cathedral outside our window, and Subway down the street. Great slow pace after Paris. Donna ready to watch old war movies now to see, and understand where she's been. Oh well, time to leave. First thing this morning is to fill the car. Normally, this is not a big deal. However, the gas pumps haven't liked our credit cards. All that trouble to get chip cards for ...
