Mid-morning, we boarded the ferry and soon I was saying goodbye to our "green and pleasant land".

France is flat and green as we headed in the direction of Brussels on the E40.

Slowly but surely he fears I had been feeling were melting away and the excitement building. What a fantastic feeling.
