We arrived at the Detroit Airport at about 6:30 pm, got checked in, and they gave me a hard time about getting my boarding pass for the Paris to Lyon leg. ... stadium, off the top of my head, that had any major reference to their mascot outside their stadium. No Marlin statues jumping out of the concrete in Florida, no Birds perched on the stadium in St Louis or Baltimore and definitely no laundry laying around in front of the Red or White Sox parks. ... to this convention. Those presents were mere tokens, it was a genuine 'thank you' that we were getting for travelling to see them and join with them.

We were well and truly rewarded, as were they. It's staggering to see the effort that had gone into making this convention such a huge success, an outstanding demonstration of brotherly love.
