Warm wind blew pleasantly in Novosibirsk yesterday night. The station at night was romantic. We had 45 minutes and - as has become our habit - we walk up and down the long train. 25 C, very comfortable.

Today, after a wonderful sleep, we wake up with bright sunshine and a clear blue sky. It could be Alberta, Canada. There are fewer trees and the land becomes rolling, prairie like.

... The unpacked tent, still wet from last time, got at least a chance to dry now, as there was a strong cold wind blowing. The camp side was behind a deserted bus stop, lots of rubbish around, as the bins were more then full, but anyway, you can't have things always perfect.

... don't open and from midday until four the heat in here is absolutely stifling! Younger girls and women skimp down to impossibly small shorts and strappy tops and all men just wander about in boxers. Most people seem to just lay down and doze at this point.
