After Dachau we drove to Matrei, Austria which would be our location for the week. I roomed with Peggy Morgan. The hotel was not air conditioned and sat on a very busy road, but this would be our home for the week. We made the best of it.
On our last night in Venice we went to see Vivaldi's Four Seasons, performed in a small concert hall. The musicians were amazing. When the concert was finished we had to walk through St Marc's Square which had decided to flood while we were in the concert. Do not get a room that looks out onto the front of the hotel.. There is a lot of traffic all hours of the day and night. Also, the bed linens were scratchy. Not my favorite hotel.
