Do not get a room that looks out onto the front of the hotel.. There is a lot of traffic all hours of the day and night. Also, the bed linens were scratchy. Not my favorite hotel.

So we are now in Austria!!! And to celebrate we have listened to the soundtrack of sound of music. Still no sound of music items around. I thought we would definitely have some in Austria as this is where the movie was based but nothing at all. I actually think I had the wrong set of mountains before but not sure. Anyway, we are now in Austria!! . It snowed majority of the day. We first had a stop in Liechtenstein which is a constitutional monarchy reined by ...

... the distance. Weather is clear which means we will get the cable rail up the mountains no problem. We may look at traveling to Switzerland tomorrow, a longer trip about 5 hours but staying over night returning on Wednesday is certainly worth a look. The other place we went to yesterday was the English garden, which is basically a very big park in central Munich, too big to walk around even in a day I think. In mid winter it all looks a bit harsh, we ...

... help of a guide and my roomie Jason. The guide was great and introduced us to many sights including the Church of St Ignatious of Loyola which included a huge fake painted dome - when you are building a church and run out of money you have to improvise. The tour ended at the Trevi fountain which is under construction and covered up but I do love that Fendi is helping fund the process so has included an advertisement on the fountain along with a small hole available ...

... amazing. Innsbruck has such an amazing change over the last 2 days it was unreal. Over the course of the afternoon the cloud washed in and out over the mountain. We weren't sure of the temperature, but a lad at breakfast had told me it was -15 when we had gone snow boarding on one of the mountains the day before.

Our instructor arrived and we headed off to the very baby area of the slope. He taught us to pizza and French fry, how to turn (apparently) ...

... snow village we imagined we would get to see. It's just beautiful.

We've played like kids in the snow, had snow ball fights, built a snow man (sort of), jumped in it, fell in it, and thoroughly looked like deadset tourists haha. I love snow!
