    ... standards, Niko has the best in Albania, and easily the best value camping ground we have stayed at in Europe.

    Our neighbour for a couple of days was Pierre, from guess where. At 67, Pierre was relatively new to Europe’s 4x4 fraternity, but he was enjoying touring through places as diverse as Iceland and Albania, etc.

    ... of the ski golf world championships. Competitors have a skiing competition on the still covered hill tops then make it down to the bottom to play golf at Zell am See. The winner is the best over both challenges. We wandered by the lakeside and through the town which was near deserted and everything closed until the next day.     ... the boat terminal, we decided to walk to the cable car but it was closed. We had a very late lunch, sitting in the sun on large wood chairs, eating cheese dumpling soup was pleasant. Back to town for a wander, tried the cable car there but it was closed too! But we really enjoyed the charming town.     ... the path was from the station, we caught a taxi, the driver was not impressed. Our room as usual is clean and neat. We are on the second floor with a balcony. The main road beside it as does the rail line, but it is quiet and I hope the trains do not run all night. We walked to a local hotel and had a good meal.
