    JNSM tent camping two nights at Tom's Cove Campground. Nice place and great location. Enjoyed the dock, bike riding, going into town, the carnival, and the ponies. A lot of bug bites. Beautiful weather. The Famous and Chincoteague Diner were recommended places to ...

    ... Paraguayan Palo Santo wood, was particularly fascinating. We didn't try this one at the pub but are bringing a few back because after reading that story, we just had to.

    Then we enjoyed a nice stroll around town, snapping a few pics, and caught the bus back to the campground.

    Biking and hiking the seashore

    ... Seashore State Park grounds at the marina, Hammerheads. We've never heard of a state park that had it's own dockside cafe and tiki bar. It was wonderful! We felt like we were in Key West. Enjoyed some crab balls (looked like hush puppies with crab meat inside) and blackened mahi-mahi tacos, all washed down with delish margaritas. Yummm!

    ... extend our stay here one more day. Maggie booked it and then we took the puppy over the bridge to the north beach for a nice walk (well, Braddock actually ran and ran and ran). We learned that dogs can only be on beaches that are unguarded (no lifeguards). We're at the south beach campground, which has lifeguards, and the north beach doesn't so that's Braddock's beach!
