Hahahaha I just had to write this down, because it would only happen to me. DISCLAIMER: This post is all about me needing a wee. Yes, that's right (at least I don't bother pretending to be lady-like hey). ---- I'm about half way into my Vienna-Munich bus journey (which I got for €19 euros somehow, no BlaBlaCars for me just yet) and I've needed a wee literally since I stepped foot on ...

Just southwest of Salzburg in Austria's scenic Salzkammergut lake district was a waypoint in our journey toward Vienna, a place I had only recently heard of but knew we wouldn’t want to miss: Hallstatt. This tiny mountain hamlet lies right between the base of a limestone mountain and the Hallstatter See, a placid alpine lake, making it perhaps the most naturally scenic place on our trip. The town has been inhabited ...

Driving from Munich to Salzburg gave us a "taste" of the beauty that awaits us in Bavaria and Switzerland, as we passed numerous small towns nestled in the rolling hills of the lower Tyrolean Alps. Oh, did I say "taste"? Maybe that was a psychological slip, because really Salzburg has been one wonderful gastronomic "taste" after another, as the pictures show.

... does indeed take its day of rest seriously. So we too decide to take a short period of rest before venturing out once more in search of food.

Our dinner options are surprisingly limited, with it being Sunday, but there are a number of eateries available on Judengasse, including our final choice, Zum Mohren, offering an eclectic Austrian/Italian/Indian choice of menu. Looking back on Tripadvisor on our return, I am surprised to find ...

... br> We grabbed dinner at the hostel again and I managed to see a little bit more of the movie, I think Brendan may have even enjoyed some of it. But still, he didn't let me stay and watch until the end. I'll make him sit through the whole film one day.
Off to pack now so we can be ready for the bus to Munich tomorrow.
Don't worry if you don't hear from us for a few days, we will get back to you once the beer is all drunk and the hangovers have eased.
      Until then....
      Good night ...
