Today was a exciting day of cooking! I got to work with a very passionate chef and now restaurant owner Georgina. As you can see from her expression, she was a very enthusiastic chef who was an expert on agriculture, food and wine of Santorini. In 2012 this restaurant was one of the top 100 restaurants in Europe. We started off by learning all about the most common foods grown and available in Santorini. Cucumber, cherry tomatoes, ...

That’s right! The bar staff would randomly chose a customer, offer them a helmet to wear, and if agreed, after being hit over the head with a bat, you’ll receive a free shot on the house. In my short ...

    Santorini - Day 2

A travel blog entry by scottandmel on Jan 23, 2014

This morning we walked into Oia and rented a car from a guy we had met the day before. We then set out to explore the Island. We filled up the car in Fira and then drove to to a little village called Kamari and then out from there to see Ancient Thira. We had to drive up a very steep and windy road and then walk up even higher from there before we got to the ancient city. We explored the ruin which ...
