... even with our early departure yesterday (3:30pm) we don’t drop anchor here until 1:30pm the following day. Up very late (9:30) we drank coffee from the amazing Lavazza Blue 9000 and then, since it was too late to enjoy a leisurely breakfast at Cagney’s, we went to the Garden Café for fried eggs and crispy bacon and then walked the promenade deck until B4 had to break off to go (you guessed it) check email and sales numbers. ...

... look so dilapidated and disgustingly dodgy. There was graffiti even on some of the parked cars - some of it making statements and some just tags. I think a lot of it was done during the riots a few years ago when things in Greece were bad. Apparently things are better but high unemployment is still an issue. At a point you stop trying to be graceful and you just run with legs and arms flailing. We make it just as the queue is boarding the bus. As we hand our ticket over we're asked; "Are you traveling together?" Answering "yes" we then get offered €250 each and a night's ...

... are desolate as they are the vents of the volcano that created Santorini.

We got off the ferry and onto a bus that would take us to our hotel in the town of Thira. It was a bit daunting zig zagging up the cliff face to get to the top with one side of the bus always looking down a steep drop. The afternoon was spent relaxing around the hotel before ...
