    Currently dormant, the circular Santorini island group is an active volcano made up of Santorini, the main island, Thirasia and the Kameni islands at the center. The caldera is about 12 km by 3 km with steep cliffs extending 950+ feet high. The original volcanic eruption that formed the current island configuration took place in 1650 BC. The most recent eruption having taken place not that log ago in 1950.

    ... well over 2 years since we’ve last seen each other. Suffice to say, the hugs lasted what seemed for years, and we were both really happy to see each other.

    As I settled in to my new temporary home, BJ was preparing to leave for work at 2 Brothers Bar while I slowly began to unpack and shower.

    ... take the donkey or jump on the cable cart. Well of course we take the cable cart down which was already part of our tour package. The line for this is very long however moves at a moderate speed, the cable cart has 6 carriages and can fit 6 into each carriage. Whilst waiting Leanne and I are able to do a little more shopping whilst our husbands are keeping our place.     ... to the hostel and he had a sleep. He had a terrible night and was very sick throughout the whole night. We went to hospital the next day where the doctor told us he could either have a very bad virus, meningitis or possibly even a hemorrhage. He had lots of tests done including a spinal tap and had to spend the night in hospital. It was soo scary because I had no idea what to do or what was wrong with him.
