My last stop in Greece
Today we stopped in Kavalla, which is a nice seaside town about halfway between Meteora and Galipolli, our next stop. It was 39 degrees here! The main thing to see is the Old Town, which is up on a hill and has a small castle at the top. It was a hot walk, but worth it for the views. I also bought a little blue over-the-should fake Marc Jacobs bag to use during the day.

Kavala, doğudan gelen yolda son virajları dönerken çok güzel kent manzarası veriyor. Bu profili ile biraz Marmaris'e benziyor. Burundaki Panagia kilisesi Kavala'lı Mehmet Ali Paşa'nın evi ile komşu.

BOOM BANG BOOM BANG BANG
Aaah the open road, sunshine, little traffic (its Sunday), beautiful countryside, easy route, mountains and forests with storks and eagles flying over. What an excellent day for a drive into Greece. It's great to go at my own pace, stop when I want, drive when I want. Angie and Tim's Bongo got me through some tough stretches of road but it is a relief not to be in a convoy anymore.
I only take one wrong turn which becomes evident ...
