... the Philippines was once controlled by the Spaniards (Factoid: Magellan claimed it for Spain in 1521 and they held control until the Spanish-American War in 1898. Feeling smarter yet?) One good thing about international flights is that sometimes you get a flight that has personal TVs and a movie selection. I watched some stupid movie called What Happens in Vegas. Yeah, it was pretty bad. I had already seen all the others on the selection, so..don't judge.

... to get masa fast enough so it was a slow relaxed pace. Good pace after an intense first three weeks! This was also great because I was able to get to know some of the locals a lot better. On Saturday everyone seemed in slow motion. I think everyone needed a nap! The workers made cool necklaces out of wire which was neat. I also tried some rendering which was not my forte! Still got a lot of walls built this week! The houses will soon be homes!

... hour long great! Started raining though so she moved me under a building overhang with a homeless person sleeping next to me. The weirdest part was that she unhooked my bra in the middle of this crowded area. I just hope I didn't get any diseases!
