... old wooden ferry as it was an option for getting to Greece via a very small border post.

After the 30Km ride, we had a quick swim at "Sunset beach" but hot footed back to camp as a storm was pending. Just in time - a real "buster" hit.

We drive west from Tirana this morning to the port city of Durres on the Adriatic. It is quite modern, but right in the middle of everything are important Roman ruins, including a large amphitheatre, a Venetian tower, and parts of the old encircling wall. We have a guided tour of the archeological museum by the young curator who organized the impressive collection. It has only recently reopened after a major reconstruction.
