Sung to by the Fijians as we left Beachcomber. Feeling terrible the aftermath of the very potent Bounty rum had kicked in. Boarded the ferry, wasn't long until the rocking motion got really bad, bit sick. Arrived at Octopus resort, felt like we had just arrived in paradise. Greeted with tropical drinks. Had an amazing Fijian fish for lunch, chicken soaked in coconut milk, lemon and mango. ...

The resident coral gardener, Michael, and I donned our flippers and masks for a garden tidy-up. First we visited the Coral Nursery of cages and frames where he grows small healthy fragments of coral into beefy chunks ready for re-planting. ...

... current. This is where we found out we weren't as great swimmers as we thought as it was so tough so swim against the current and we were both puffed out after trying to swim upstream! The mantaray is huge and we got to swim with it about four times. It did not seem to mind people being there and as it swam under us you could see that it was easily bigger than us. After having swam with the mantaray we got back and had breakfast with Beth. Nicola and Jen then rented snorkels ...
