    ... leave our accommodation around 4pm to walk to the Rialto water bus station to catch the Vaporetti (no 1) to Santa Maria Del Giglio Station. The station is the 6th stop from Rialto Station.

    The water buses appear to run continuously and you do not have to wait long for a water bus.

    ... Bought a €20 Venice watch, with the monach glass face and maroon strap, really love it!!! But after shopping and looking around, we realise we got ripped off badly sigh. We saw €12 and the cheapest I saw was €10!!! So we got ripped off by twice the amount. Super heartbroken. Oh wells it's a lesson learnt. We should have walked around more to research the prices before diving straight into buying the watch hahaha. ...

    ... the small canals of Venice and saw many homes and 'back streets' that we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Our guide had organised an accordian player and singer to accompany us on one of the gondolas, so the atmosphere was just lovely. What a thrill to ride a gondola through Venice!

    ... and started planning our trip. Verona, Milan, Venice were all on the cards. But with little time we quickly settled on Venice. Within an hour we had booked a hotel, packed our bags and were in the car ready for the five hour journey from Germany, through Austria to Italy.
