... to have a nice Italian dinner on the canal instead. Great idea!!! You can literally walk the streets here for hours on end and not get sick of anything you see! I will be sad to leave tomorrow but my bank account will definitely be happy to see the end of this penny pinching town :-) * stayed At the casalinger hostel in a 5 dorm room @ 25 euro pp per night... ... here for another two whole days, so we will have plenty of time to see all the sights.

We did, however, experience the Cichetti crawl, where you have a Campari Spritzer, and it comes with bar snacks. There was so much that we could not fit in dinner.

At 11:30 the lights come on and soon all the mosaics in the ceilings seem to glow. We have lunch nearby. Katerina ...

Control of Venice has changed hands many times, from Romans, Lombards, Byzantines, to a period of independence in which it was a key successful centre of trade with the Byzantines. Napoleon invaded in 1797, ...

Yesterday was a long one but rewarding because the trip went
well. We arrived in Patra at 4pm, had supper then took a cab to the ferry port.
We ensured there would be no luggage fee or port fee before we left. After getting ripped off by the other taxi driver who doubled our fare for, "port fees and luggage." Actually
this taxi driver was very nice. The new port where the ferry docked, late, is
about 4km from the bus station. On arrival we discover the ferry ...
