Once I met with Kate we decided to visit an Italian patissier and get a croissant! they were so delicious and a perfect way to start the day! As we do we went shopping and tried out best to communicate with the locals, always a fun venture.

Bought a 2 day Metro train ticket. An easy way to get around the city.

We arrived in Milan around noon. We checked in to the hotel and went straight out to begin exploring. We walked all the way to the Duomo which is stunning. It is not unlike the Duomo in Siena with it's intricate facade. Inside it is huge and is the third largest cathedral in the world. Milan feels like a modern city with office buildings and lots of high end shops. We are looking forward to more exploring ...
