... Then up the funicular to the mountain overlooking Como, not happy with view at that height we decide to walk up to the lighthouse. Snow covered following last weeks cold blast we make our way up - a long way - finally arriving at 'the lighthouse'. The view was spectacular, well the view as best it can be here with quite dense haze/smog. We could see the water but sadly the Swiss Alps, whilst could be seen, were blurry. (Switzerland is ...

      Not so glamorous Bergamo

Leaving Milano, we started the day with Bergamo which is an ancient town about 40 km east of Milan we've been hearing a lot about. I have to admit that it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. Maybe it's just me setting my expectation too high.

We arrived at the Milan Bergamo airport at around 8:30. We met a nice lady at the tourist desk who helped us ...

... out there are looking for a young lady, then I suggest that Milan is a great place to go on a potential wife hunt.

Rhid has been plagued by a cold on this trip and sought comfort in drinking Manhattans, he said they were very strong. I stuck to Italian Ale - "I know my limits and exceed them"*. We had great fun and left at god knows what hour. I then introduced Rhid to the joys of getting lost in Milan. I don't think ...

Goodbye Levanto, hello Lads.... And Milan

A travel blog entry by ericandyulia on Mar 30, 2014

... I had to stay awake to watch our luggage. Yulia slept like a baby :) Once in Milan I looked up where our hotel (il giramondo) was and we headed there. Booking.com had the wrong address and made me walk around a block which was no where near the actual location. Regardless we were happy to have found the place and that it was decent quality. We left our luggage there and went back to the station to wait for Adam n Jono who I had messaged on ...
