And you could see people were throwing the coins, not even near the boat, for amusement!They were even doing it when they were throwing the lines docking the ship which looked particulary dangerous!

Since we have been here we haven't seen much poverty really , but it was a real eye opener to see what people did just to get some coins to survive!

I woke up after sleeping for 12 hours straight. The curtains wide open to wake up to the beautiful golden sunshine on the palm trees outside of my window. I had turned my air conditioning off before I went to sleep. My room was radiating with heat and the sticky smell of tropical warmth had invaded again. It felt good to be so warm after being discontent with the temperature in the UK. I love the heat.

... worried about my veggie-ness so wanted to buy in tons of veg which is very sweet. Checked out the various products on offer: they don’t sell tampons off the shelf in the Philippines…I thought the team were joking when they said that – all part of the traditional culture.
