        ... morning to do that, caught the 0415 airplane, arrived at the MNL hospital at 0600 and is still waiting in line as I write this at 1200. (Later, at 1430: Ivy texted me saying "I am sure that there are 15 steps and I have done 7, so there are 8 steps more. Don't worry, I am still smiling. I will hang in there."         ... that would make the commute comfortable. But of course I wanted to do it the local way (and also the cheapest) so we hopped on a public bus that cost us $3.50 for the entire one-way. What a deal! Let me back track and mention our first Couch Surfing experience last night! CSing has an obvious benefit of having a free accommodation. But for ME, the better benefit is meeting and connecting with people from other parts of the world. I wanted to CS in the Philippines at least once ...

Within the same park area is a marker where Ferdinand Magellan fell. On the reverse side of the plaque, it explains how one of his ships set sell shortly after the battle and completed the first recorded circumnavigation of the globe.         I woke up after sleeping for 12 hours straight. The curtains wide open to wake up to the beautiful golden sunshine on the palm trees outside of my window. I had turned my air conditioning off before I went to sleep. My room was radiating with heat and the sticky smell of tropical warmth had invaded again. It felt good to be so warm after being discontent with the temperature in the UK. I love the heat.

        ... the gentleman i dealt with told me there was zero availability here in Arcenas Apartelle unless i was willing to take one of the larger room. Needless to say contacting the Arcenas Apartelle direct i found out there was apartments available for the next three months. The facilities here are billiards table, table tennis, a bike, darts, badminton rackets, and whilst there’s no pool, Sand trap is just a short walk away with 100php per person pool ...
