    ... friends and he came up to put the snow chains on for us and drive us up the mountain. However the snow chains that we had were actually broken so every couple of minutes due to the large amount of snow the chains would snap off, and the poor guy had to get out and put the chains back on in the blizzard.

    ... and slug you 6 lira for it. You add the salt and lemon juice at your little table. We were quite proud of ourselves spending so little on dinner. After tea we went across to the restaurants under the bridge and sat and had a wine & cocktail and watched the sunset. One drink each and it cost us 40 lira...more than double our dinner !
