... I denied it all. Later that day, we found out why. As you can see from the photos, the steam and smells permeate into the drains and escape through the road gullies and into houses. Our ferry over to Wellington was delayed and we had contacted Anne Doone and Richard and Emma to try and meet up while we were there but hadn't heard from them by the time we finally arrived at the hotel.
