    ... we much prefer the passenger seat as we can enjoy the views as Huw drives along.

    One afternoon we had some gun practice aiming at a cardboard box about 20m away. It was Sophie's first time holding a gun and it definitely showed!     ... seems a really nice place. We are staying close to the centre and not far from where she lived so we can imagine her travelling around this area. In fact at Rotorua and Auckland among other places we were conscious of the fact that she would have been there and we wished we could discuss them with her. Tomorrow at 10am we will meet with her friend Paulette to scatter her ashes.

    ... started. Jenn and Mark made some delish slow roast, with mashed potatoes, gravy and veg for dinner.
    On Tuesday Mark went to work and we got to work on the van. I finished the breaks, the new pads fit and it was the easiest change I have done. Half an hour and both sides were done. We then emptied everything out, vacuumed it and packed our bags as much as we could. Mark got home from work, we played some darts and had a few drinks. Said our good-byes before he headed off to bed.

    OF COURSE I had to pick a Flax leaf from a park (Russell wasn't looking) and used a shell found on the beach and tried to scrape and reveal the fi res of this remarkable plant just as we were shown . Boy alot of work.

    Made it home today. We flew back from India with Thai Airlines via Bangkok. Even though they are the national carrier and have a nice new airport we still got bussed off our arriving plane and then transferred by bus onto our departing plane at Bangkok. The plane left late from Bangkok as they waited for a family with a suspected case of food poisoning that needed clearance from a doctor to fly. This also meant that we had to wait on the plane in Auckland for clearance from ...
