Portugal is rapidly becoming our favorite place in the world. Why, you ask? Three reasons: interesting and beautiful beaches, pitchers of sangria and flavorful, fresh seafood. ... to pass it, though, the wind filled in and we were getting fairly significant gusts - force 7s - as we headed up to the anchorage at Sagres where we would spend the night.

Even Sagres was still intensely windy; with its howling and the vibrations of the mast shuddering we barely slept, even though we had every confidence in our anchor. So, once again, we were up early to head off to Lagos and escape this windy corner.
