The night before
School's out, work is on pause and the cottage industry is closed for Christmas. It's finally here after months of waiting and we're all beside ourselves with excitement.
The bags are packed (with space to spare thanks to Annette's frugal choice of clothes) and we have even managed to find room for Ellie much to Esther's relief.
We've got so many exciting new experiences ahead of us crammed into a 7 week trip. South East Asia here we come!

Morning of NY
... of being late especially where aviation is concerned, would be a little rattled by the little woman at our service and should by default be reassuring us that we will catch the flight no matter what, I tried to go into the bedroom to reassure her. Liverpool.....Yeh, Yeh, Yeh
... trip, where the focus was on centuries-old past, here we were revisiting our memories.
Of course, the Beatles are still a huge industry and the museum is just one of several Beatles-themed sites around Liverpool. It was reminiscent of our trip to Nashville, where we were immersed in all things Elvis. Thus, we also visited The Cavern, where they played as young lads and made their chops. ... machine which was pretty funny. Today went back into the city and checked out the maritime museum as they had a 100th anniversary of the sinking of the titanic exhibit which was really cool. Had a quick goosey gander in the museum then wandered along the harbour to the Atlantic monument then back into the city taking pics here and there. Here we are on the train back to London. Easy day =)
... bread. We did have a little trip to Tesco in the middle since we didn't have a crusty loaf for the garlic bread. But once everything was said and done, we had made a beautiful meal and it was easily the best meal I had since I left the ship.
The perfect way to end such a lovely day was having a long chat to Edith and Dave. Those two are so amazing, I am so appreciative of their company and kindness towards me.
