My visa application date for Mexico is October 29th, so I have some holiday time here in Kungsbacka and Gothenburg until I need to go to Stockholm. And, I'm already researching my visa application for China for when I go there ...
... a grumpy Dane telling us camping out the front of his designated campsite was apparently faux par. Laura is proud as punch to have stood up to him and his ridiculous $50 AUD per night prices. Luckily, the Carlsberg Brewery housed us nicely for 3 nights in their car park.
Luckily on closer inspection, Copenhagen actually did live to the Laura hype. It got better and better as we explored it over the next few days and now I would be keen for a return trip.
The North Sea Cycle Route has one take a ferry from Varberg, Sweden to Greå, Denmark. For logistical reasons, we chose to spend the afternoon in Varberg and have a short cycling day, with a ferry trip waiting us early the next morning.
Varberg was a quite pretty and very bike-friendly city. I enjoyed the evening ...
... have lunch in the city and admire the city center.
After that was a day of mostly off-road bike paths with pretty views, most notably one on a ridge with views of the sea and flowering farmland. The only negative this day was a persistent light ...
