I burned through in-flight entertainment.

Movies - Escape Plan (Stallone & Schwartzenegger), 12 Years a Slave (Oscar drama), Enough Said (Julia Dreyfuss & James Gandolfini), Skate Canada (documentary)

Clouds gave away to blue sky eventually and below, San Francisco.

Flight path had even flown us right over Edmonton.

... highlight. Then back down the mountain. Wheeeeeeeee..... Onto a large boat for a cruise of Lake Lucerne. We always have these boats to ourselves so it is always great fun. Well, the fog hadn't lifted in Lucerne and it was freezing on the open top deck but half a dozen of us stuck it out. Michelle and Brett being two of them....they are the 2 with the caravan at Seaview. Brett is a pastor...and fantastic fun. Michelle is just lovely and hysterical to be around. ...

... time in the loo because the lights went out on me - not a comfortable experience hunting for loo paper in the dark. Eventually realised that the tiny light near the door had to be depressed to re-activate the lights. Whew!! The funny thing was that the same thing had happened to Slasher. It was an expensive dinner, but enjoyable, even if the waitress asked if we wanted the service tip to be added to the credit card bill!

A walk back along the lake in misty rain and we were home ...

... our hot chocolate escapades, we hung out at the hotel and rested up before dinner. We headed to a Lebanese restaurant Aman, Mandip and her parents already tried.....dinner definitely hit the spot. Difficult when the Lebanese owners/workers only speak Swiss German; but it was a success nonetheless. I get along well with the euro-middle easterners...lol

I've never felt so overcome with calmness, an appreciation for nature's beauty ...
