... a magnificent sunset as we drove West on the Poland A2.
We overnighted uneventfully in a road side parking area on the south bound route 9 in Germany. Heading on southwards we enjoyed the wonderful German roads and made good time, crossing freely into Austria.
We certainly left a part of our hearts with these special friends.

We had coffee in a warm coffee shop out of the cool breeze but when we went pay felt completely duped by the price. Ended up paying $5 each which is an outrageousness price for Poland. ... and we drive in near-torrential rain to meet our friends for our weeks’ holiday. When we arrive, we meet four drowned rats and their suitcases jam-packed with summer-wear. We go in to check out our apartment and catch up, all very much hoping that the weather will change for our week in Gdansk.

I say this because they offered me tea, well you would, I said I'd be fine with water, but oh no coffee duly arrived.
