We overnighted uneventfully in a road side parking area on the south bound route 9 in Germany. Heading on southwards we enjoyed the wonderful German roads and made good time, crossing freely into Austria.

We certainly left a part of our hearts with these special friends.

On the other hand, for those travelling from Austria ...

We had coffee in a warm coffee shop out of the cool breeze but when we went pay felt completely duped by the price. Ended up paying $5 each which is an outrageousness price for Poland. Pays to check the menu first. Searched out the famous ferry that goes up the canal and is towed overland uphill for ...

          Carol from Sydney area

... and we drive in near-torrential rain to meet our friends for our weeks’ holiday. When we arrive, we meet four drowned rats and their suitcases jam-packed with summer-wear. We go in to check out our apartment and catch up, all very much hoping that the weather will change for our week in Gdansk.

During the next week, we spend 7 fun-filled days and nights exploring Gdansk and the local area with our friends. We are disappointed to spend little time at the ...

I say this because they offered me tea, well you would, I said I'd be fine with water, but oh no coffee duly arrived.
