    ... It was built to raise the palace itself above sea level. Lots of artifacts reflecting daily life including the pipes bringing in fresh water and a mill that may have been used to press olives or grapes. Crowds are greatly reduced since most tourists have gone home but we still see big cruise ships in the harbor.     ... lunch.
    I wished I could have stayed there longer and relax by the sea but I had to keep going as I wanted to stay at Villa Mikrut in Podstrana the night.Mrs. Mikrut was obviously very pleased to see me again and gave me the top floor one bedroom apartment fronting the sea.
    After unloading my luggage, I was invited to join her downstairs for a snack and ended up with a cooked meal later on. So nice!
