    I am so glad we are doing a lot of walking, as our family is very hospitable and the food is very, very good! Cabbage rolls, cold beetroot soup and a great deal of pastries and cake! So I really need to walk a lot! Skoudas is quite a large town near the Latvian border and there a large number of smaller villages scattered throughout the relatively flat landscape.     ... in Lithuania and that is not very far, about 60 Klms away. The weather was so beautiful, we went to the sea today. Unfortunately, Vente is under renovation at the moment, but it was still a beautiful place. Once they have all the buildings available, I think it will be a very interesting place to go.     On a critical note: there was a little too much electronic music going on at the festival, and not enough live music making. And for some reason, each main sponsor found it necessary to have its very own DJ-stage, which resulted in four loud stages blaring bad music without an audience side-by-side. The prison mainly housed minor offenders for 2-30 days in small cells of 40-50 people! The prisoners had to be busy at all times; learning discipline, marching, politics etc or cleaning the prison, they were not allowed any time to themselves.
