As the sun went down the cafes closed and no hotels were open out of season so we headed back to Scooby for some ...

For those heading home straight away there will be time to box up your bikes, shower and
change before lunch - we have made arrangements with a local hotel to use their facilities.
Refuelled and probably feeling sleepy we will transfer to Perpignian airport (1hr) in time for the
1715 flight back to Stansted.

is the Col De Tourmalet (2115m), a mountain climb which needs no introduction. After a bit of

The End is in Sight Literally

... the 25th September and need to fit in some time to pack and make different arrangements. The days following my arrival in Merens have been incredible, helped by fabulous weather, I'm going to regret saying this. However, I have not needed any wet weather gear since my arrival. There I've said it; the kiss of death, I'm now going to be washed away in a monsoon. I've also met the usual wonderful hiking community that frequents the GR10 ...

Living on the Edge

... along the Way of the Cross and Sant Miquel. The walk was punctuated with crosses and statues of the Apostles. Though most the statues are relatively new there is something timeless walking the same route as pilgrims from as far back as the middle ages. Montserrat isn't just for pilgrims. The mountain has walking trails that twist and turn as they make their way to hermit's caves, holy ...
