New Delhi, India moverspacker... for GAP at 6pm got the Metro. Delhi Metro is awesome 3RPS get you anywhere it's air conditioned, spotless and comes every 3 minutes! I'm impressed in fact Delhi is nicer than I remember it altogether, there seems to be less traffic, dare I say less hassle and less dirt.
Feeling good about my success with the Metro I arrive at the wrong hotel, Raunak Plaza, anyway the concierge whisks me off down a couple of back streets and someones kitchen to the ...

Delhi, India zameensandeepIt immediately occurred to me upon waking that I'd come here to sort my camera, but my camera had already sorted itself out (more or less anyway). So what in the name of god was I doing here? This was Delhi, a city almost universally despised by everyone I know who'd been here (one rather imaginatively dubbed it 'Delhole', which was the image I had in my head when I arrived). What was I going to do with my time? Should I just get straight on the next bus/train going ...
New Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, India lnb203... that a family rents out and runs. The owner of the apartment is a chef named Parul, who actually teaches Indian cooking classes to tourists, but also makes dinner for his guests, so dinner was unbelievable. Tomorrow morning, I am catching a 610am train to Agra (wake up at 430: I'm an idiot) and I will spend the day in Agra visiting the pinnacle of monuments to love in the world, so that will be fun. Anyways, hope all is well, Later Days, Dave
Delhi, India dbiddy... Rangit, muchas gracias por habernos mostrado la ciudad y hacernos sentir como princesitas! By Pato The arriving into Delhi was not as great as expected. The hotel was not very good and the area was not quite nice (the main bazaar is not a lovely place). So, to avoid the panic of the girls coming, I decided to look for another option according to our budgets (such a big deal). That night finished quite well as I met Rangit, Ulrika's friens that ...
Delhi, India patoysandrix... Mysore to study ashtanga yoga, or whether I should just hang my socks up to dry and get a ticket out of here. I'm once again sick, and have spent most of my time in India ill. It's filthy, disgusting, noisy, annoying, etc. There's too much ********. It's utterly exhausting, just being here. In the month I've been here, I've been sick with flu, cold, AMS, and other intestinal/digestive issues. I've been harassed by ...
Delhi, India truddick... wasnt for me, i didnt come here for the posturing, the masses of beggars conmen rickshaw commission based drivers etc etc, theres alot more to India than a small district of a capital city filled to the brim with people who seem to want to not actually go anywhere and revel in their own smugness. I did see a few good spots around Delhi, The place where Ghandi met his maker was interesting and filled with lots of interesting facts and tidbits, and there are plenty of peaceful and ...
New delhi, India stewelee... aspect of it...First, I collided with another motorcycle coming in the opposite direction. As I was sticking a bit out of my lane behind a tata bus to see if I could overtake, a motorcyclist coming in the opposite direction clipped my side panier with his engine protection bars...Straight after the impact, I stopped on the side of the road to assess the situation and when I turned around to have a look at what was happening with the ...
New Delhi, India caprile... mini-bridges across them. It was really cool - I took some incredible pictures. Definitely more than what we expected - considering we saw the Ming Dynasty tombs and were far less impressed! These Indians know how to bury their dead, that's for sure. Our next stop was Qutab Minar, although we didn't know it since our driver had taken it upon himself to drive us where he thought was appropriate. I tried to tell him where I wanted to go on the map, and he smiled, nodded, said ...
