... do with the local culture. It’s a development for North Americans and Europeans and far beyond the means of the local people. The marina was beautiful with some nice boats. The allure escaped us as the water was as filthy here as it was in town. Our guide told us about the excellent local fishing and shrimp. They might be fun to catch but I would not eat anything out of that beautiful sewer. No way.

... but man it was hot. We walked thugh a street market to the town but it's all souvenir shops, not an Internet cafe in sight! We headed back after a while and halfway back we felt a few light spots of rain then two minutes later fat rain, loads of fat rain, which was actually quite refreshing. The locals thought we were mad but we carried on regardless, lost a few dollars to the kids and arrived at the tender looking like drowned ...

So after being stuck in the ****** marina in Punta Cana we have found what we wanted in a marina.

This marina is small. has people to hang out with, and has an endless pool that is on a bluff over the ocean so you can jump out of the pool into the ocean below! its super cool.

... in the car and headed to Samana to go and see the whales! That was so amazing, we saw a momma and a baby. Never seen them so close and it was just beautiful. After the whales we hung out on an island for a couple of hours. swam and drank pina coladas straight out of the pina and coco locos straight out of the coconut! SO GOOOD.
