This was the best hotel on our trip. We had a balcony (great for drying our washed clothes) but no view. This hotel had the only double bed on our whole trip. Overall is was impeccable but the shower curtain had some questionable stains on it.

... stuff with us, so we sat and enjoyed watching the world go by with the obligatory men in budgie smugglers who shouldn't be and women who are long past bikini age but seem to have forgot! We had a super lunch too for only three euros on thirassia island. Oia was on the tour and we got some lovely photos..... Dinner at Argo and we had moussaka which was the best ever and a couple of cocktails, nice way to end the day. Topped it off with a lovely ...

... they told us that the power was out on the entire island. We had noticed a large fire near the airport on our way to the beach in the morning, which sure enough was the island's main electricity plant, and thus we had power only sporadically for the remainder of our time on the island. This wasn't a huge inconvenience, but resulted in some warm nights without the A/C.

For our last day in Santorini, we headed to the ...

... after his strong character and rather war-like demeanour.

At the dock we still had time to kill, so murdered it by wandering back and forth and exploring the wide selection of tourist tat. Our cruise was due to leave at 3:30 and at 3:25 we are left wondering where our boat has gotten to: we saw it dock and unload, then leave again. Confused I asked one of the travel agents who scribbled out our boats name and pointed to the Santa Irini, a ...

    ... book.

Here is the thing that is going to prove to you all how lame we have been and how much we desperately need to move on Rome and have things to do... instead of going out somewhere, having a few drinks, seeing people, or even talking to each other, we watched Gone with the Wind on DVD... and I was asleep by around 11pm.

One more Kamari day to get through and then we will start our trek towards Rome - cant ...

... and tenor, turning into a hissing rush, and what sounded like a constant trickle of a thousand tiny specks against the ground. Then suddenly it was upon us, and all we heard was the howling, deafening moan of wind screaming across the black sands, buffeting against the parasols scattered across the beach. We were hunkered down when it reached us, yet it still almost tore off my makeshift blanket and blew away any loose articles ...
