... bumped into Edwina and Peter again and stopped to chat. They are a lovely couple, very easy to chat to. Peter is the co founder of Hotel Chocolat so that was interesting to hear about. A Bellini and a Gin Fizz later and we were feeling very relaxed with the world! Hopped back on ferry to travel to Mennagio which was pretty but a lot quieter than Bellagio. Back on ferry again (only about 10 mins each time) to visit Varenna. Shared a pizza and beer before heading ...

In the evening we went to Argegno for drinks. Happy hours....served with pizza, focaccia, cheese & honey, salami etc, all free of ...

We had to toast bread in the oven, boil the kettle on the hotplate, and she had a very creepy looking son who wore his shorts way too high, and we were all scared that he was an axe-murderer. As they live on the property too it was all a bit awkward to start with but we are getting used to it slowly.

... wood-paneled ceilings all painted; Carlotta's bedroom with the bed that looks so small compared to today's beds; ornately decorated baby's crib. There are plaques in each room describing everything; however, the Audio Guide gives you more information--at Magdalene's room, lines of Virgil commerating the death of her son were read.
