Despite Kirst and I not getting to sing "the hills are alive with the sound of music" at the top of Titlis our first day in Switzerland has been great. The quote for the day has to be the young American couple walking past us the guy asking "is that a natural feature" and the girls replying "what the Eifel Tower"
Today we decided to give Zurich a miss, we're both sick of big cities, so on we went to Lucerne. It was very pretty but also touristy. We had lunch then decided to head on to Engelberg, which is where David's niece lives. At times we drove through falling snow and were somewhat worried as we climbed again if the road would remain clear of snow. Fortunately it did and we made it to Grindelwald with snow falling on and off for most of this section of the journey.

I left the mountains barely able to move but incredibly happy with my time there, it was back to Olten to recover at Adriens place.
With my recovery now complete I can leave Switzerland, I will be flying to Copenhagen tomorrow and then heading onto Stockholm.
