... straight into the glacier cave at -5deg it was somewhat cold. Our next mission was to go walk the cliff hanger bridge a 250 step bridge suspended between two cliffs. Unfortunately the wind had come up and just as we were getting there they decided to close it owing to safety. We left Des Moines at 11:13am on 1/11 with a short and easy flight to ATL. After a 2 hour layover, we boarded the plane, en route to visit our family in Switzerland!

The flight over the pond went pretty well. My clever plan to take Tylenol PM let us down and Kristin and I both had trouble sleeping on the plane. I think we maybe got a total of 3 hrs of sleep when we arrived in Switzerland.
