    Well I must say I have been lazy this time round with the blog, I think it is because I have too much time on my hands and we haven't had hugely packed out days of activities. This has meant I am leaving it a week or so at a time before updating.

    Well we have been round to lunch with a wonderful couple in the mid seventies, they cooked us a 3 course meal (well their chef son in law did anyway). ...

    Today we went into town to buy some food and bumped into Panyota who does the gardening where we are staying, she is a lovely Greek lady who speaks good English. We some how got chatting about mushrooms and she offered to take us foraging sometime. Well there is no time like the present so we hired a car and off we went to forage.

    ... time outside which is probably why I have been a little lazy on the blog. We are all well and have hired a car again to see more of the island, there is a beach called Kokinacastra which is pretty special. We have been eating well and are planning on hiring a car once a week to do a big shop and see different parts of the island each week.

    ... is Garaki I think from memory. The bay at the top was very quiet as you would expect this time of the year but it was idyllic. There was some land on the slope by the beach and Wifey and I were fantasising about owning it so we could build a house.

    ... aware of the island in the Pacific that is made up of drifting plastic debris and this brought it home to us I think. When you have such beauty (our Planet) why poison it and live so carelessly. Most tribes are thankful to mother earth for there hunting when they take life, they only take what they need and the surround eco system can support this. We really need to go back to this thought pattern if we have a chance of long term survival. Rant ...
