Train trip
The city of Chihuahua lies in the central north part of Mexico. We came here to visit this place, very briefly, before taking the famous Chepe train, connecting the cities of Chihuahua and Los Mochis on the Pacific coast. It takes approximately 15h to go all the way, through scenic mountainous and canyon landscapes. Luego de una velada super linda, cenando en la terraza del restaurant con la catedral en frente iluminada .... nos volvimos para el hotel, ya eran las 10.30! despues de un dia largo y bien diferente! Ah...y aca hay una hora menos que en DF...asique yo estaba adelantada en todo! no tenia ni idea del cambio de horario.....ahhhh otra cosa mas que chequear antes de llegar a los destinos de este viaje!

Worst: the tedium of flying
Up around 0550, doing the ablutions and a bit of diary before down at 0705 for brekkie. Nobody from the group was down early so I read about El Chepe, our Copper Canyon train. Back up to finish the diary update by 0834 and then tended to paraphrenalia before packing for the flights, especially dealing with the tequila.

The Canyon
... most certainly reserved on the right side of the train, as that's where the most stunning views are on the way up.
Tip - buy breakfast at the Oxxo on the way to the station, as there is no kiosk at the station, and the train's restaurant opens 7.15am.
To be honest, the first hour on the train, when it was still dark anyway, we just simply took another nap.
