Good start to the day and set our course for Portugal stopping off for a lunch stop at Isla Cristina, which is a bustling fishing port and town. They have good facilities for the fleet; plenty space. They must have some sort of nautical college here as well because the free fall lifeboat training rig was on the quayside. It was a bit rough looking in places with neglect in the rubbish dept. Though one guide book ...

In the afternoon we moved the boat closer to the bridge which we would have to pass under
    at near low water.

The wind picked up big time in the early hours of the morning. Luckily our anchor was well dug in. We estimated we had a good F7 blowing so when the tide was coming in we had wind over ...

... get something around the prop as the going was rather slow compared to normal. The wind picked up and we
got a bit of a sail in. Spent ages trying to find a place to anchor – areas with suitable depth are taken up with mooring buoys. Contemplating the weather forecast we stayed on board for the rest of the day. Having lovingly looked after our gathered clams we managed to kill them, so over board they went.
