Good start to the day and set our course for Portugal stopping off for a lunch stop at Isla Cristina, which is a bustling fishing port and town. They have good facilities for the fleet; plenty space. ... The street was full of People, mainly families all sitting around eating, drinking and generally enjoying life. Australia could learn so much from the Spaniards. Streets full of tables, chairs and people. Couldn't help wondering whether the local councils in Spain have the same approach as our councils back home, I think not. A shared meal of 5 or 6 tapas, 2 beers and 2 wines cost a total of €23 (about $30). I'm thinking Spain is an OK ...

My birthday! We took the ferry and headed for Vila Real San Antonio (on the Portuguese side) in search of a special final Portuguese lunch but didn't manage to find exactly what we were after so headed back to Ayamonte for some tapas.
Oh before that we tried to help one yacht which ran aground just as it was leaving the entrance of the marina – it hit the mud pretty ...
... for Gen. The marina is close to supermarkets which was a bonus so we got some provisioning in. We are planning on anchoring for a few more days.

The wind picked up big time in the early hours of the morning. Luckily our anchor was well dug in. We estimated we had a good F7 blowing so when the tide was coming in we had wind over ...

got a bit of a sail in. Spent ages trying to find a place to anchor – areas with suitable depth are taken up with mooring buoys. Contemplating the weather forecast we stayed on board for the rest of the day. Having lovingly looked after our gathered clams we managed to kill them, so over board they went.
