... the road! All lessons and practice is in a controlled environment! From the way the Greeks drive, I wouldn’t be surprised to learn if it is the same there. As Nick says, Greeks have a “do or die” attitude to driving – they are going to do it and don’t care who may die as a result of what they do! Double unbroken lines, blind corners, speed limits – none of these things have any affect on the way they drive, and overtake, on the ...

It's not just the cleanliness of the buildings and streets, though this helps of course, it's because Urbino sits on a hill, and is alternately washed by the rain (and snow) and polished by the bright summer sun. We found our initial view was right: it is not flat. But it is very beautiful. Every single street goes up or down, often quite steeply, and many of them have great views as we hope you will see from the photos. Wait till we get back and you see the full slide show! ...

... to do it all justice.

The atmosphere was great...it was just like sitting down to eat at the family table, everyone dipping in and out of bowls of the same foods, all being served at the same time, and chatting and laughing. The staff had everything running like clockwork and were so friendly. The desserts were brought at 11.30 and although they were absolutely delicious Michael had the opportunity to finish Joys ice cream as ...
